Ilona Sinskaja is a midwife at our maternity hospital. She has more than 20 years of experience as a midwife in the maternity department of the Women’s Clinic. Ilona is constantly improving her skills by attending seminars and keeping track of modern trends. Ilona communicates in Estonian and Russian.

As a midwife, she considers it important to be caring and know how to support a woman in difficult moments. If a pregnant woman is calm and in a positive mood, this is already 90% of success and health. Midwifery is her life – the profession has given her a calling and the feeling that she is doing the right job.

Kirlin Meejärv is a midwife in our maternity hospital. Kail has nearly 30 years of experience as a midwife in the maternity department of the Women’s Clinic. Kirlin communicates in Estonian and English.

Love for her work inspires and motivates Kirlin and makes her committed. The work of a midwife is versatile and interesting, where one never gets bored. She considers it a great privilege and joy to be with families in such special and unique moments of life as the birth of such a small person. Anneli Kärema is a midwife at our Maternity Hospital with more than 30 years of work experience as a midwife in the maternity department of the Women’s Clinic and at the Maternity Counselling Centre. Annely has been updating her knowledge and skills in various countries and has attended professional training courses and learned about the course of physiologic childbirth, the management of water birth and the causes of any potential risks.
Annely speaks Estonian, Russian and English.
As a midwife, Annely wants to support women and their families throughout the pregnancy and childbirth period. She also makes home visits after childbirth if necessary. In her work, she seeks to observe the principles of natural childbirth because she believes in the ability of a woman to give birth naturally by following her instincts and using her inner strength. Annely is the mother of two sons.

Siiri Ennika

Midwife

Siiri Ennika is a midwife at our Maternity Hospital with more than 20 years of work experience as a midwife in the maternity department of the Women’s Clinic. Siiri has completed various refresher courses and professional training classes to update her knowledge. She has also taken a number of training courses in complementary medicine.

Siiri speaks Estonian and Russian.

She was interested in becoming a midwife at a young age already. According to her, it is heart-warming to be touched by the miracle of pregnancy and childbirth. Her own childbirths and years of work experience have taught her the nature and soul of childbirth, as well as how fragile and delicate a woman is during childbirth. Siiri wants to respect the freedom of choice of every woman and family and to respect their personal decisions deeply. She wants to provide support and compassion for every woman on the journey of becoming, and being, a mother.

As a midwife, she has been improving and updating her knowledge in a variety of fields including alternative medicine, Chinese medicine, and mental health topics. Her aim is to ensure that childbirth is as natural and safe as possible, and she wants to support families in their choices at one of the most important moments of their life.

Both as a midwife and as a person, she feels it is important to constantly learn and improve, to avoid getting stuck in a comfort zone.
