Your midwife – Siiri Ennika
Already at a young age I was fascinated by becoming a midwife. My dream finally came true in 2003 when I graduated from Tallinn Medical College as a midwife. Right after graduating I started working at the delivery department at the East Tallinn Central Hospital, where I am still working today.
In addition to my work at the delivery department, I also participate at the family school, where I give lectures preparing pregnant women for delivery and conduct the aerobics and discussion circle.
I have completed courses on homeopathy and reflexology for pregnancy and delivery. I apply these methods at my work on every opportunity.
It is heartwarming to constantly be part of the miracles that are pregnancy and childbirth. Personally I have experienced it four times, having delivered four of my children. My personal experiences have helped me understand the nature of childbirth and how fragile a woman is during delivery.
I love my job and I consider being a midwife a privilege.
I communicate both in English and Russian.
